InnoVouchers

What is „InnoVouchers“?

“InnoVouchers” is a measure for innovative legal entities (except for science and study institutions), whereby they can receive a fixed amount of targeted financial support for services from science and study institutions to acquire or operate under the Horizon 2020 measure "SME instrument" Stage 1.

Objective of funding

The main objective is to encourage business and science to establish initial contacts, to continue research and (or) experimental development (hereinafter referred to as R&D) activities, to encourage enterprises to engage in more innovative activities and to take advantage of the opportunities provided by business and science cooperation.

Funded activities

Provision of “InnoVouchers” for a planned or ongoing work in technical possibility studies for R&D.
Provision of “InnoVouchers” for projects with a European Commission label (“Seal of Excellence”) under the Horizon 2020 program “SME Instrument” but who has not received a “SME instrument” for Stage 1 activities (assessment of technical and commercial opportunities).
Provision of “InnoVouchers” for R&D projects.

MAXIMUM AVAILABLE FUNDING AMOUNT FOR THE PROJECT, EUR

I. Preparation of technical feasibility study

when activities are implemented by a beginner innovator:

  1. When VAT is ineligible for funding - € 7 305;
  2. When VAT is eligible for funding - € 7 478.

when activities are implemented by a mature innovator:

  1. When VAT is ineligible for funding - € 26 722;
  2. When VAT is eligible for funding – € 27 354.

II. “Seal of Excellence”

when the activity is implemented by an applicant who is holding a “Seal of Excellence” certificate and VAT is ineligible for funding - € 71 429.

III. Research and experimental development

  1. A beginner innovator implements research activities and VAT is ineligible for funding - € 12 801;
  2. A beginner innovator implements research activities and VAT is eligible for funding - € 13 153;
  3. A mature innovator implements research activities and VAT is ineligible for funding - € 46 826;
  4. A mature innovator implements research activities and VAT is eligible for funding - € 48 114;
  5. A beginner innovator implements experimental development activities and VAT is not eligible for funding - € 20 225;
  6. A beginner innovator implements experimental development activities and VAT is eligible for funding - € 20 845;
  7. A mature innovator implements experimental development activities and VAT is not eligible for funding - € 73 984;
  8. A mature innovator implements experimental development activities and VAT is eligible for funding - € 76 252.

If the project implements research and experimental development activities, the fixed amounts according to applicants and activities are summed.

• Beginner Innovator - the applicant, who does not work for more than 1 year on the day of registration of the application at the Implementing Authority, and whose operating income from the date of registration to the submission of the application is at least 3,000 EUR (three thousand euros) or has no experience in R&D (i.e. did not implement R&D projects and/or did not carry out R&D activities) and its annual operating income in the last financial year preceding the submission of the application is not less than EUR 3,000 (three thousand euros).

• Mature Innovator - the applicant, who has been operating for more than 1 year on the day of application registration with the Implementing Agency, has an  experience in research and / or experimental development (hereinafter - R&D), during the last 3 years has been implementing one or more R&D projects and its annual operating income for the last financial year preceding the submission of the application is not less than EUR 10,000 (ten thousand euros).

CALL FOR PROPOSALS FUNDING

It is foreseen to grant up to € 4 500 000 of the European Regional Development Fund. Therefore, 3 calls to get funding will be held.

The first call - for novice innovators - is expected to be up to EUR 1 000 000. For the second invitation - for mature innovators - up to EUR 3,000,000. For the third call for applicants of the European Commission (Seal of Excellence) under the SME instrument of Horizon 2020, but not for Phase 1 Phase (Phase) activities of the SME instrument for evaluation activities) up to EUR 500,000.
