For Lithuanian FinTech startups – a straight road to Singapore

Lithuanian FinTech startups have a chance to innovate, improve its business idea and get inspiration in Singapore. The Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology Agency (MITA) together with the Ministry of Economy presents a new acceleration programme in Singapore, which will be organized on May 28 – June 3, 2018. This programme is open for Lithuanian startups, developing business in the field of FinTech, cyber security, artificial intelligence and blockchain. The deadline for application to MITA is 13th of April.

 „Lithuanian has a huge potential to be a leading country in FinTech. In our country start-up community is rapidly growing. Partnership with Singapore is important for developing innovative ideas globally “, – said Kęstutis Šetkus, MITA director.

MITA is planning to attract the most perspective FinTech startups to participate in the acceleration programme in Singapore. This programme will provide consultations, training, assistance for business development, partner search services through advanced service delivery tools and techniques. According to this programme, MITA has an obligation to cover travel expenses for Lithuanian startups.

Startups will meet investors, corporates and other startups to understand how both sides can collaborate and grow together. Both countries are good business gateways to Asian and European markets”, – told Joe Seunghyun Cho, Co-Founder and Founding CEO of LATTICE80.

MITA agreement with the Singapore accelerator LATTICE80 was signed in 2017, after the official Governmental visit to Singapore, organized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  The two partners agreed to cooperate in organizing the acceleration programmes of Lithuanian startups in Singapore.
