On 1-3rd of October the Baltic Institute of Finland hosted TraCS3 project partners in Tampere under the framework of Interreg Europe programme. Lithuanian Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) actively participates in this project as a partner.

The project partners focus on improving regional innovation infrastructures and innovation capacities, which are the backbone of any dynamic regional innovation ecosystems.

Partners from Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania and Spain spent three days in Tampere getting to know the city and the region. Representatives of the region provided the international guests with an overview of the region in general and with an insight into the smart city and health & well-being activities in Tampere region. It was a great possibility to visit and to get to know more about these organizations: Council of Tampere Region, Business Tampere, Tampere University, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, University Hospital of Tampere  and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

In addition to exchange of experience with regional representatives, the early stage development of Regional Action Plans was continued in Tampere. Finnish nature in autumn colours indulged the TraCS3 partnership with some relaxation amidst the intense working programme.

The next TraCS3 partner meeting will be held in Romania in spring, 2020.
