Workshop "HORIZON 2020: Insights into the new Societal Challenge 2 work programme 2018-2020"

Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA) together with the Aleksandras Stulginskis University is inviting you to the workshop „Horizon 2020: Insights into the new Societal Challenge 2 work programme 2018-2020“. The event will be held during the 8th International Scientific Conference ‘Rural Development 2017: Bioeconomy Challenges‘ on the 24th of November at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University, Studentų str., Akademija, LT-53361, Kaunas distr., Lithuania.

The main objective of the event is to explain what opportunities are provided for researchers and SMEs by new Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 2 (Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine, maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy) Work Programme for 2018-2020.

This Workshop is organised for potential applicants of the three upcoming calls for proposals published under the Societal Challenge 2 of the Work Programme for 2018 - 2020:

  • Sustainable Food Security
  • Blue Growth
  • Rural Renaissance

José Ruiz Espi, the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI), will present the new Societal Challenge 2 work programme for 2018-2020. This presentation will be followed by a discussion about successful participation in Horizon 2020, and a Q&A session.

This event will target a wide spectrum of companies, universities, government organisations and NGOs, and others involved in research, to discuss and exchange views on how to best take advantage of existing initiatives.

Costs: MITA session will be free of charge but registration is mandatory since the number of participants is limited.
